Whew! What an incredible evening! This beautiful wedding was a the McCormick Ranch, a beautiful secluded place for an enchanted wedding. The Bride was gorgeous as well as all the bridesmaids! Rachel and Ryan Destination Engagement!

I can't believe it has been so long since my last post! Sorry for not keeping up but keep checking back because I have a lot to post!

This engagement session was at Boreal Ski Resort with my friend and colleague Niki Ross! She invited me to tag along on her photoshoot to be a second shooter. Here are some images that I took. I hope you can enjoy!


Our first stop was a Boreal Ski Resort. It started out with all of us dressed in our warm clothes and was surprised how hot it got with snow all around! These guys were so full of energy and had a blast with them hanging in there thru all the crazy pics!

We were all playing shadows and shapes when Rachel and Ryan came up with this one! It turned out great!

Rachel and Ryan met at Boreal and it was great to have them be so comfortable in snow! Of course they were all warm, while I was still in my shorts and some snow boots!

I loved this pic with my wide angle lens. Loved the snow and the trees and of course a fun couple!

Cool shot of Ryan skiing and Rachel snowboarding. We got a little powder coming up off the skis!

This is the entrance of Boreal. I loved this special moment of Rachel inside and her gazing at Ryan.

Here we are at Rainbow Bridge. A special place for the happy couple!

This last pic is my favorite. I love the lines of the bridge that draws your eyes right to Rachel and Ryan. The weather was starting to cool down again as the sun was going down but this pic is still HOT!

I always love taking pictures when I get a chance. I was able to do a last minute photoshoot right when it started raining this past weekend. The weather was awesome. The feel of fall, the colors, the smell of rain and I loved the coats and hats that show the coolness of a great fall day! I hope you enjoy these new pictures!

I had the great pleasure to be able to go to Florida for a friends wedding. I had met Darla while in Chico and when I heard she was getting married, I just had to go!

So I packed up my suitcase and was on my way. Was a great opportunity to see old friends and meet new ones! I can honestly say that I haven't been that hot ever!

It was and awesome way to have a little vacation, snapping a few pics, going to DisneyWorld and hanging out with friends. I hope I am able to make it out there again soon!

BagMonster Again!

Once again, I had a chance to capture a wandering BagMonster jumping into a pile of 45,000 bags-That is one persons lifetime usage of plastic bags! BagMonsters are born from single-use plastic bags that stay in our landfills for several lifetimes. I love doing this!

Andy Keller has been in the forefront in bringing awareness of what plastic bags are doing to the environment and has being traveling the country informing people how harmful plastic bags are to our environment.

Well I got a call from some friends to get up REALLY early to catch the dawn patrol for a local balloon take off. We got there in the wee hours of the morning (still dark) hoping to catch the balloons all lit up! Well, the hours go by and it kept getting lighter and lighter. I got to shoot this wedding with my good friend Renee Boyd. This was a 3 day shoot between Monterey and Carmel By The Sea. It was an awesome time!

It was great working with Kaiti and Jarrett and we got to play and take A LOT of creative images. We had lots of time planned and they were willing to go and have fun!

I went camping this past weekend and go to try some new stuff with my camera. Here is a two hour exposure for creating star trails. I love the color of the Milky Way coming through. This was a great trip and a chance to escape the HEAT and play. I hope you like it

After taking pictures with a friend there was a cute puppy with a blue eye! I tried to get some pictures of her and laid on the ground then called her... Well she came all right! right into the lens! It was one of the funniest things! Anyway, with her being just a puppy, we had to hold her to keep her still while I took the picture. enjoy!

I was taking my class to the downtown park plaza where we met Sophie. I told her that we were a photography class and she asked if we would take her picture if she rode her bike through the water. Well she rode her bike through all the non water part and I asked if she would get wet. I really liked all the detail of the water hitting her. My other cousins dog was hilarious. she loved playing with her toys.

2009 Winter Yosemite

My favorite picture of the trip. It was right and dusk and the fog started to roll in. you can see bridalveil in the background.

A great view of tunnel view with snow! and lots of it. I went with a group of friends to photograph Yosemite in the winter.

I love this picture and the new white-out conditions. I had a hard time getting the camera to focus from all the snow.

This was an interesting tree. I loved the way it leaned while the old broken trunk provided a counter balance. I liked the visual tension it created.

This was at the swinging bridge. I spent quite a bit of time trying to capture the beautil colors of the water.

On this overcast day, I tried to capture all the snow that outlined the shape of the branches.

Nichole + Eric Wedding

So I thought the last wedding was in October but I was asked to help Niki Ross for a wedding a couple of weeks ago. I have been busy finishing up with school that I haven't had a chance to post any images yet.

When I started photographing Nichole + Erik the day started out really foggy so we had to find places that would show the sky. The fog can add some interesting effects but not when you look up. It turns all white.

This image was from right before the wedding when they say each other for the first time. It was a great moment. Erik could wait for us to take pictures and he ran to her to see her. A very touching moment.

The wedding was at Butte Creek Country Club. Here is Nichole by the footbridge.

Again, here is the Bride and her bridesmaids. I love the way the fog softens the entire image and gives it a great effect

Midnight Cemetery Shoot

I took a handful of students to the cemetery on a full moon. This is a 20 minute exposure and a little photoshop grunge added afterward. We all had a blast and stayed up til about 2:00am
